About the Organisation:

Program Director for a prominent government organisation in Queensland, committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services across the state. Their diverse responsibilities are united by a common goal: to create better health care for Queenslanders. 

Role Overview:

As a Program Director, you will oversee and lead multiple projects within a complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environment. Your primary focus will be the successful delivery of projects into various healthcare facilities across Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the delivery of projects across multiple facilities within the healthcare system.
  • Provide advice and guidance on organisational and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including high-level negotiations and resolving complex risks and issues.
  • Provide strategic direction in the development of project documentation.
  • Manage project outcomes in line with best practice guidelines and organisational methodologies.
  • Develop submissions, briefs, and papers to support governance requirements.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience in delivering large scale, complex, and high-risk projects.
  • Exceptional program/project management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Experience in managing major program budgets.
  • Strong negotiation, consultation, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the health environment is desirable.
