Project Manager (Junior).

A leading organisation in the energy sector is seeking an (Junior) Project Manager to drive the Market Compliance project on a 12-month contract. This role is crucial in delivering IT system updates to meet 2025 Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) compliance requirements.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the Senior Project Manager and Project Management Capability Lead
• Lead the Market Compliance project, ensuring regulatory deadlines are met
• Manage stakeholder engagement, coordinating meetings and actions
• Oversee requirements traceability, risk management, and quality assurance
• Maintain the project schedule in MS Project and work tracking in Jira (Epics, User Stories, Tasks)
• Manage issues, risks, dependencies, and contingency planning

  
About You:

• 2-3 years of project management experience.
• Strong background in regulatory/compliance projects
• Agile delivery experience (Scrum) and Jira proficiency
• Expertise in scheduling, risk management, and quality assurance
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
• Solid understanding of IT environments to manage scope, risks, and dependencies
• Experience delivering projects within a Government-Owned Corporation (GOC)
• Advanced Agile project management capabilities
