About Us:

This utility organisation's Digital Division delivers and supports information and communications technology products, services, and solutions. The Customer & Market Systems group oversees revenue generation processes and external interactions with customers and suppliers.

Position Overview:

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will report to the Business Analysis & Initiation Lead and collaborate closely with Platform Managers and Leads from the Customer Platform. Your primary responsibility will involve ensuring our organisation meets regulatory compliance obligations and maintains superior customer service delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage scope for assigned products to ensure alignment with approved Programme objectives.
  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts to gather, validate, and verify data migration requirements.
  • Analyse business users’ requirements and develop criteria for sourcing or developing appropriate solutions.
  • Report progress status in alignment with Programme milestones and reporting channels.
  • Analyse large datasets for migration purposes using SQL queries and associated tools.
  • Create and maintain SQL queries aligned with performance guidelines.
  • Conduct code review activities for the development team.
  • Assist in maintaining the Requirements Traceability Matrix through deployment.
  • Provide support in managing IT contractors and consultants as needed.
  • Ensure work adheres to safety, environmental, and legal responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in a Business Analysis role in large, complex environments.
  • Strong expertise in data migration activities and effort estimation.
  • Ability to convert business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Experience defining business process models and information/data models.
  • End-to-end programme and project delivery experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to engage with technical resources.
  • Experience working with vendors to deliver customised solutions.
  • Proven ability to leverage data to improve customer experience.
Selection Criteria:
  • Strong knowledge of Business Analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience drawing accurate business process models.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Energy Industry practices (desirable).
