Technical Lead.

BLACKROC is excited to have partnered with a Aussie Fin-Tech to support their next growth phase.

As the Technical Lead, you'll be responsible for a squad of ~ 4 Engineers, fostering the team efficiency and maintaining smooth project delivery. 

The role will have you on the tools ~70% the time with a huge emphasis on mobile (react native), with the remainder of your time spent doing management related activities such as;

• Running daily stand-ups; 
• Technical scoping for each project;
• Acting as the bridge between the engineering squad and product / design;
• Keeping everyone aligned with project goals and ensuring deadlines are met;
• Helping to facilitate decision-making processes and mediate any conflicts or disagreements within the team;
• Conducting performance reviews and helping team members set growth plans and providing mentorship and guidance on how to achieve them; and
• Participating in hiring decisions.

Technical wise, we're looking for candidates with:

• Extensive React Native experience; (must)
• React.js for Web;
• Node.js (desirable) - the role is predominately front-end;
• AWS - all their services sit in there so at least an understanding of how it all works is required.

It's also worth noting that candidates with ~2 years plus experience in a similar technical leadership capacity will be favored though we will consider candidates that have been in a senior capacity that have had pseudo leadership roles in the past.
