Suppose you are an Actuary or Data Scientist who excels in complex modelling, high-level stakeholder engagement, and policy-driven analytics. In that case, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the highest level of government health strategy.
 
A leading federal government health agency seeks experienced professionals to join its Analytics, Data & Actuarial Division (ADA)—a team responsible for financial sustainability, risk assessment, and forecasting in healthcare and social services.

This role is not just about data analysis. The work undertaken will directly influence significant health policy decisions, shape long-term sustainability frameworks and drive the future of national
healthcare programs.

Key Responsibilities:
● Actuarial and Data Insights – Leading projects influencing national healthcare sustainability and policy frameworks.
● Advanced Model Development – Using R, Python, and AI techniques (including NLP) to solve critical healthcare and funding challenges.
● High-Level Stakeholder Engagement – Collaborating with multiple government divisions, policy branches, and industry leaders.
● Project Management – Overseeing large-scale health data analysis, forecasting, and policy development.
● AI Implementation in Health Policy – Developing AI-driven decision-support systems while ensuring governance and compliance.

Essential Skills and Experience:
● Five or more years of experience in Data Science or Actuarial Analysis
● Expertise in R and Python (modelling, deployment, and data manipulation)
● Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership – Proven experience in high-level internal and external collaboration
● Advanced Modelling and AI – Experience with NLP, machine learning, and forecasting techniques
● Understanding of Health Policy and Financial Sustainability – Ability to translate analytics into real-world policy impact

Desirable Skills:
● Proficiency in SQL and AWS
● Knowledge of Generative AI applications
● Experience in AI Assurance and Governance
