The Functional Data Analyst will support the SAP transformation project by managing data migration, governance, and validation for Material Master and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role involves working closely with business SMEs, data teams, and technical teams to ensure high data quality and integrity. Reporting to the Head of Data Transformation, this role is integral to the success of the ERP modernisation initiative.

The Functional Data Analyst will support the SAP transformation project by managing data migration, governance, and validation for Material Master and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This role involves working closely with business SMEs, data teams, and technical teams to ensure high data quality and integrity. Reporting to the Head of Data Transformation, this role is integral to the success of the ERP modernisation initiative.
- Conduct workshops and design Data Standards, defining governance rules.
- Develop functional designs for data migration with Functional Specialists.
- Provide functional support to Data Migration developers.
- Assist Business SMEs in preparing and validating data.
- Identify dependencies between data migration activities.
- Support Data Cleanse activities.
- Perform functional validations of data loads.
- Resolve defects related to data migration, conducting root cause analysis.
- Communicate issues and progress updates to Data Lead and Project Management.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in SAP MM implementations and/or support.
- Experience in large-scale SAP data migrations focusing on Materials Management.
- Understanding of MM configuration and master data dependencies.
- Strong data analysis skills for validation against target data models.
- Expertise in data migration activities: cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
- Excellent communication skills at technical and non-technical levels.
- Experience with SAP QM and Ariba Contract Management.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector.
- Familiarity with data profiling, data assessment, and data quality tools.
