About This Role

Lead the delivery of a major finance systems transformation for a large Australian government organisation.

This is a specialist opportunity for a Delivery Manager with deep finance systems and ERP implementation experience. You will bring the expertise to guide complex enterprise implementations, work confidently with technical teams and vendors, and drive delivery across a critical business function.

You will need to operate as a finance systems subject matter expert, drawing on your experience delivering major ERP implementations to guide technical decisions, manage complexity and build delivery capability.

Extensive finance systems implementation experience is essential. We are looking for someone who has personally delivered a significant finance ERP implementation and can bring genuine subject matter expertise to the role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical delivery across a major finance systems implementation, working closely with developers, DevOps engineers and technical specialists
Apply your expertise in enterprise finance platforms to guide implementation planning, technical decisions and delivery approaches
Provide specialist advice on finance systems architecture, implementation considerations and technical delivery risks
Coordinate multiple vendors, technical teams and business stakeholders across a complex delivery environment
Lead and develop the delivery team, establishing effective ways of working and building internal capability
Manage technical dependencies, system integrations and delivery issues to maintain progress and achieve outcomes
Work within a modern cloud environment, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges

Requirements

Australian Citizenship is essential
Finance ERP expertise: Strong experience delivering major enterprise finance system implementations, with a detailed understanding of platform capabilities, implementation complexities and business requirements
Technical delivery leadership: The ability to engage directly with technical teams, understand delivery challenges and help resolve complex issues
Enterprise implementation experience: A proven track record delivering complex systems involving integrations, dependencies and multiple stakeholders
Vendor management: Experience coordinating external implementation partners and internal delivery teams
Stakeholder leadership: The ability to provide informed advice, influence decisions and communicate effectively across technical and business teams

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Experience with platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Workday or TechnologyOne will be highly relevant
Experience with modern cloud-based enterprise systems, particularly AWS, will be advantageous
