Senior Cloud Security Engineer

About This Role

Key Responsibilities

• Work hands-on across cloud environments to improve security, identify weaknesses and implement solutions
• Build and improve security automation using Infrastructure as Code and modern engineering practices
• Work with development and infrastructure teams to embed security into existing processes and deployment pipelines
• Identify and address security risks across cloud platforms, applications and infrastructure
• Improve the way security events are detected, investigated and managed
• Support incident investigations when required, including troubleshooting, containment and remediation
• Contribute to a range of technical security projects and improvements

Requirements

• A strong background in cybersecurity, ideally across security engineering, operations or incident response
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP. Strong Azure experience will also be considered
• Practical experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience applying DevSecOps principles within cloud environments
• A good understanding of SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management and security monitoring
• Comfort getting into the technical detail rather than simply identifying issues and passing them on
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working as part of a team
