Melissa Occhipinti

Melissa Occhipinti is a true Brisbane stalwart in IT contracting recruitment, having started her career in 1999. After nearly three decades in the industry, there are very few organisations and IT contractors in Brisbane that haven't heard the Melissa Occhipinti name.

Mel joined forces with Jason to create what many observers called 'the most unlikely recruitment business partnership.' But this combination of complementary styles and shared values has proven to be the secret sauce behind BLACKROC's success.

What makes Mel truly exceptional is her unwavering passion after 27 years in the game. While many recruiters burn out, Mel remains one of the most passionate and inspiring recruitment business owners in Australia. Her energy is infectious and her commitment to her candidates and clients is legendary.

When she's not connecting Brisbane's best IT contractors with opportunities, you'll find Mel on the pickleball court. She's a self-confessed pickle fanatic, playing nearly 10 hours per week on average. It's this competitive spirit and love of the game that she brings to everything she does.
